Corrections and right of reply

If something here is wrong, out of date, or unfair, tell us and we will fix it. This route is open to anyone — you do not need to be a customer, and you do not need a lawyer.

Who this is for

How to reach us

Email [email protected]. Please include the page address and what you believe is wrong. If you can point us at the primary source that shows the correct position, that speeds things up considerably — but it is not a requirement, and we will check for ourselves.

What happens next

  1. We acknowledge receipt. You get a reply confirming we have the request and who is handling it.
  2. We check the primary source ourselves. We do not simply accept or simply reject a request; we go back to the authority’s own record.
  3. We act. If we were wrong, we correct the page and say when it changed. If we cannot verify the position either way, we can remove the disputed statement while we look into it, and we would rather do that than leave something contested standing.
  4. We tell you the outcome and our reasoning, including when the answer is that we are keeping the page as it is.

What we will do quickly, without argument

Where we may not be the right place

We restate records published by other authorities. If the underlying government record itself is wrong, the authority that published it is the only party that can amend it — but tell us anyway. We can note that a record is disputed, and if it is corrected at source we want to reflect that promptly rather than wait to notice.

Data protection requests

If your request concerns personal data rather than a factual correction, use the same address and say so. We will treat it as a data-protection request and respond on that basis.
