Brazil publishes an unusually large amount of company-level public record in machine-readable form: federal labour and corruption registers, environmental embargoes, and a national rural property registry. Bulk datasets are generally open; single-record interactive lookup forms are generally not, which shapes what can be checked systematically.
What can be checked
Each check is shown with what it specifically does not establish, because that limit is the part that decides whether the check answers your question.

What this does not establish
- Tax debt, labour-court debt, and bankruptcy records are not systematically available: the official interfaces require either a government-issued certificate or pass through a CAPTCHA, and the aggregators that resell them are commercial.
- Litigation cannot be matched to a company from the open judicial dataset — it carries no party names or company identifiers.
- State and municipal environmental and labour proceedings are not aggregated nationally.
- Beneficial ownership beyond the registered partner list is not public.
